What does it mean to live at the intersection of LGBTQ and Jewish identity experience? This panel dives into that exact question: how the daily lived experience of Jewish queer and transgender identity unfolds in the 21st century, and how LGBTQ and Jewish communities are shaped by national and historic events, local communities, media, institutions, and influential thought leaders. By the end of this session, attendees will have a deeper insight into the American Jewish landscape for queer and transgender persons, and look towards institutions in the organized Jewish world who serve those at the intersection of religion, culture, sexuality, gender, and community – and discuss a shift to a more inclusive model.
