With an Outstretched Arm: Addressing Modern Slavery

As Jews we celebrate our redemption from slavery in our texts, our liturgy, and our holidays.  For millions of people across the globe, including right here in Detroit, redemption has not yet come.  By studying our sacred texts and learning about local efforts to address human trafficking, we will deepen our understanding of modern slavery and find inspiration to act.
